St. Mary’s County Library is pleased to partner with St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ (SMCPS) Judy Center and Food and Nutrition Services on its free summer meals program. Children up to age 18 will be able to access a free and nutritious meal for 11 weeks Monday-Friday during the summer. Children’s meals are free of charge and adults may eat for $3.75.
Beginning on Monday, June 18, 2018, children and their families may visit the Lexington Park Library from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to receive a nutritious lunch. The library will be serving meals during the weeks of June 18-22, and June 25-29, July 2 – 6 (excluding July 4 due to the Library being closed) from Monday to Friday.
On Monday, July 9 through Thursday, August 16, excluding Fridays, the SMCPS’ Judy Center Lunch and Learn will operate at Lexington Park Elementary School from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Greenview Knolls Elementary School from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and at George Washington Carver from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Children and a parent or guardian may visit either site for a nutritious hot meal and a fun learning activity provided by a Judy Center partner. On Fridays, schools will be closed but families may receive a meal at the Lexington Park Library from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
During the final weeks of the summer August 20 – 24, and August 27 – 31, families may visit the Lexington Park Library for Lunch at the Library from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
