The Charlotte Hall Library is to the left when you enter the front doors (photo 2). Entering the library, the return slot is immediately to the right. Also visible are a copier, a row of public use computers, seating, and the Information Desk (photo 3). There is one large desk where customers can check out items, get information about their account, and ask questions (photo 4). The center area of the library includes multiple chairs and tables, as well as book shelves and displays. There is also a self-checkout machine (photo 5). There is a two-sided row of computers in the center area of the library as well (photo 6). Book shelving lines the back wall of the center area of the library and the phrase “My Place to Learn, Discover, and Relax” is painted on the wall (photo 7). To the left of the front desk are book shelves for adult non-fiction items (photo 8). The children’s area is designated by yellow walls. There are book shelves, seating areas, and active learning and play centers (photo 9). The library’s meeting room is accessible from the lobby area and is available for reservations by non-profit and government organizations, as well as businesses and private parties (photo 10).
